Banku Flour- A popular African dish, considered one of Ghana’s national dishes, Banku originates from the Ga-Adangme people along the country’s south-eastern coast. The Banku food stands out for its sour flavour, which results from the corn’s prolonged fermentation during the production of corn dough. All local soups pair well with banku and there are several varieties of the African banku flour. There are Corn dough banku flours, others are Fufu Banku made from cassava and Oat Banku. Banku is highly rich in carbohydrates.
