Ayo Olopon/ Awele/ Oware/ Mancala Board Game

Ayo olopon is a hand carved wooden traditional game usually played between two players using the ayo seed. This game is popular among the Yoruba people in Nigeria. Ayo olopon is an African board game that improves the mental alertness of the players and grows one’s mathematical skills.

The game is very common in Nigeria and some countries in West and North Africa. It is made up of 12 holes and 48 seeds, also called awele, oware, mancala by other tribes.
